Just recently I got an email from Tony Armendariz, Executive Director Illinois Watercolor Society. Needless to say this made my day.
Dale, Because of your inclusion into the IWS 2014 30th National Exhibition you have now become eligible to receive Signature status in the Illinois Watercolor Society. Therefore, the Illinois Watercolor Society Board of Directors are proud to extend to you ‘Signature Membership’ in the Illinois Watercolor Society. As the executive director, I wish to congratulate you on behalf of the Board of Directors. Because of your outstanding accomplishment you have earned the privilege of using the initials, IWS, on your works of art and communications effective immediately. Signing your paintings with the IWS initials after your name recognizes your status not only in the watercolor community but also in the world of fine art everywhere. This year the IWS will honor all the artists that are receiving Signature status this year in a special ceremony that will take place during the awards reception of this year’s National Exhibition in Dixon on May 10. This will take place following the demonstration presented by Lenox Wallace. The new Signature artists will be recognized and presented with a certificate. We hope you can make the event for this special time. If you cannot attend the reception, the certificate will be mailed to you. In order to keep your status as a very special member of the organization, you must be an IWS member and keep your dues current. We look forward to seeing your work with the initials IWS in future shows! Sincerely, Tony Tony Armendariz, IWS, PWS, MOWS, NEWS Executive Director Illinois Watercolor Society [email protected] www.illinoiswatercolorsociety.org Illinois Watercolor Society P.O.
