Thank you Illiana Artists for inviting me to demo last Monday night. I was happy to see a great turnout even though the weather has been questionable. 

My demo was taking a fall scene and changing the season to a winter, snow painting. I walked the group through my thought process, techniques and and when to stop. I talked about temperature conversion to a winter scene, adjustment of values and changing your light source. I'm a big believer in utilizing the photo reference as a starting point -- it's a tool. You are not a slave to the photo, but using your imagination to create your finished product. This will give you a unique and rewarding experience.
